- Background check. I consent to a criminal background check before I work with students, and I will not volunteer with students until it is complete.
- With staff, always. I volunteer alongside staff and follow their direction. I am never alone with a student, I never take a student anywhere, and I never contact a student outside the program.
- Sign in. I sign in and out at the center every time, and I wear what identifies me as a volunteer.
- Reporting. Texas law requires every adult to report suspected abuse or neglect of a child. I will tell a staff member at once, and I will never investigate on my own.
- Confidentiality. Anything I learn about a student or a family stays at the program. I never post or discuss it.
- Photos. I do not take photos of students. The program takes the photos it needs, of students whose families said yes.
- Technology and AI. I follow the student agreement's rules myself: a student uses AI only with staff in the room, and I never set up an account or a tool for a student.
- Respect. I treat every student, family and staff member with respect, in the language they speak.
- My information. I read the privacy notice; the program keeps my form and my background check result as it says.
- Verificación de antecedentes. Doy mi consentimiento a una verificación de antecedentes penales antes de trabajar con estudiantes, y no haré voluntariado con estudiantes hasta que esté completa.
- Con el personal, siempre. Hago voluntariado junto al personal y sigo sus indicaciones. Nunca estoy a solas con un estudiante, nunca llevo a un estudiante a ningún lado y nunca contacto a un estudiante fuera del programa.
- Registro. Me registro al entrar y al salir del centro cada vez, y uso lo que me identifica como voluntario.
- Reportes. La ley de Texas exige que todo adulto reporte la sospecha de abuso o negligencia de un niño. Se lo diré de inmediato a un miembro del personal, y nunca investigaré por mi cuenta.
- Confidencialidad. Todo lo que aprenda sobre un estudiante o una familia se queda en el programa. Nunca lo publico ni lo comento.
- Fotos. No tomo fotos de estudiantes. El programa toma las fotos que necesita, de estudiantes cuyas familias dijeron que sí.
- Tecnología e IA. Sigo yo mismo las reglas del acuerdo del estudiante: un estudiante usa la IA solo con personal en el salón, y nunca creo una cuenta ni una herramienta para un estudiante.
- Respeto. Trato a cada estudiante, familia y miembro del personal con respeto, en el idioma que hablan.
- Mi información. Leí el aviso de privacidad; el programa guarda mi formulario y el resultado de mi verificación de antecedentes como allí se dice.
